Getting there is very easy because it’s close, and most travel agencies include transportation.

For example, Punta Cana Transfer picked me up in a very comfortable vehicle. They offer transportation for big groups, small groups, and even solo travelers. In my case, we were four people, and although I didn’t know the driver, he was incredibly kind and professional.

I recommend booking your transportation ahead of time.

But if you prefer to book your tour and transportation with the same company, that’s even better—in fact, it’s the best option.

This is the most convenient option because everything is organized for you. I personally loved how the guides explained everything with patience and also told me important things to avoid so we don’t harm the monkeys.

• Book your tour in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

• Bring a printed or digital copy of your ticket or confirmation.

• Be at the pick-up point 5 minutes early. If transportation is delayed more than 5 minutes, contact your representative.

• Pack essential items such as:

  • Your phone

  • A camera

  • Water

  • I don’t recommend sunscreen or mosquito repellent because the guides explained that the chemicals can harm the monkeys.

• Make sure no one in your group is allergic to peanuts.

• Bring cash or a card for souvenirs, photos, organic products, or to pay for the tour if you choose to pay on arrival.

• 50 USD per child (ages 3–12)

The tour operates daily, but availability is limited. I recommend booking ahead of time to secure your spot.

Best Time to Visit

To make the most of your experience:

• Weekdays are usually less crowded.

• The best season to visit Punta Cana is December to April (warm and dry weather).

• Since this is also high season, make sure to reserve in advance.
