TL;DR
Scape Park Cap Cana is a 247-acre adventure park in Cap Cana with Hoyo Azul, caves, ziplines and wildlife encounters. General admission starts at $129 USD; children 5–12 from $69. The most practical booking option is a Full Admission package with hotel pickup. If you're traveling December through April, book ahead — it fills up faster than most people expect.
What is Scape Park Cap Cana?
Scape Park Cap Cana is a full-day adventure park inside the Cap Cana community — not a theme park, not a resort pool area, something genuinely different. You get self-paced access to cenotes, zip lines, caves, waterfalls and wildlife across roughly 247 acres of Caribbean dry forest and limestone formations. The park sits within private resort land on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic; you enter through a staffed gate and follow marked trails between attractions.
The own-pace model is what sets it apart. Most activities are included with general admission and you move between them in any order. You can repeat the cenote twice, skip the high-speed zip line if it's not your thing, and join guided departures only for the two activities that require them. I've been here dozens of times guiding clients and I still see people surprised by how much ground there is to cover. Plan for a full outdoor day — there's walking on uneven trails, short climbs, and steps down into caves. Not a beach afternoon.

What can you do at Scape Park? (All attractions)
There's more here than most people realize going in. Scape Park covers cenotes, waterfalls, ziplines, guided cave and cliff experiences, wildlife zones, and vehicle-based tours. Most are self-paced. Two require scheduled guides plan around those departure times from the moment you arrive.
Hoyo Azul (Blue Hole)
Hoyo Azul is a turquoise cenote at the base of a 75-foot limestone cliff the kind of place that genuinely earns its reputation. It's included with general admission. Life jackets are mandatory for all swimmers, even strong ones; that's a park rule, not a suggestion. The walk from the main restaurant is about 760 meters roughly 10 minutes, and it feels a bit longer in the midday heat, so go early. Photographers are usually stationed nearby; photos are extra.
Kevin — underground cenote
Kevin doesn't get the same attention as Hoyo Azul, which is honestly part of the appeal. It's a subterranean cenote you access by going down a staircase into the jungle floor. The temperature drops as you descend — noticeably, especially after walking trails in the sun. Water is crystal-clear and shallow compared to Hoyo Azul, so no life jacket required. Take care on the wet steps going down.
Saltos Azules (waterfalls)
Natural waterfalls with small swimming pools. The pools are shallow enough that you don't need a life jacket, and the water is cold in the best way after a morning of zip lines. A jumping platform is available at one pool — check height restrictions on-site before queuing. The Super Ride zip line finishes in this area, so it makes sense to combine both in one loop.
Super Ride
Weight: 100–280 lbs minimum/maximum · Height: 4 ft min, 6'5" max
The Super Ride is the fastest, longest, and highest zip line in the Dominican Republic. You go face-first at up to 75 km/h lying flat, looking forward, which is not what most people picture when they hear "zip line." It starts near Saltos Azules and lands on the opposite side of the park.
Zipline Eagle Splash (Zip Line Eco Splash)
Weight: 60–280 lbs · Height: 4 ft minimum
A circuit of five zip lines that pass near waterfalls and water cannons. Other riders can trigger the cannons as you go, getting soaked is part of the experience, not an accident. Slower and more playful than Super Ride.
Monkey Jump
A short zip line that drops into a deep pool at the end. Life jacket required, the pool is genuinely deep. It's chaotic and fun and the line moves fast once people start going.
Hammon R (hammock zip line)
You ride seated in a hammock, travel to a midpoint, and return. It's the calm one, good for people who want to see what zip lining feels like without committing to the full experience. Slower, lower, and a decent view of the canopy.
Cave Expedition — guided
Guided departures only: 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Cannot be done self-paced.
One of two activities that require a mandatory guide. You join at the departure time, there's no catching up mid-route. The route includes cave swimming sections and short climbs. Wear water shoes and bring a flashlight if you want photos inside.
Cliffhangers — guided
Guided departures only: 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
The other guided activity, running on the same fixed schedule. Includes rock climbing elements and rope work. Both guided activities reward arriving early — the 10:00 AM slot fills before the 1:00 PM one.
Cultural Route
A walk through replicas of a Taíno village with panels on pre-Columbian history and Dominican culture. It's quieter than the rest of the park, a good option for the early afternoon when you need a break from adrenaline. Better suited to adults and older children than toddlers.
Fauna Land and wildlife encounters
An open-air sanctuary with capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, macaws, iguanas and snakes. The macaw encounter runs in the morning and the monkey encounter is at 2:00 PM daily, if you're going with kids, plan your afternoon around that 2:00 PM slot. Iguanas roam freely in a designated area.
Buggy tour (Getaway Wheels)
Drivers: 18+ with valid license, Children under 10 years old can join the activity as passengers.
Off-road buggies through jungle trails and stream crossings. About 60–90 minutes and genuinely muddy, this is not a gentle nature drive. Paid add-on: Book online as soon as possible to secure the availability.
Only Cave Expedition and Cliffhangers run on fixed guided schedules (10:00 AM and 1:00 PM). Everything else is completely self-paced—go in any order, repeat what you like.
Is Scape Park worth it?
For most visitors, yes. At $129 for general admission you're getting a:
Cenote
An underground cave
Waterfalls
Wildlife encounters
Zip lines without leaving one location.
Families with kids 5 and older, nature lovers and active travelers tend to get the most out of it. Beach-only travelers, visitors with serious mobility restrictions, or those on a tight budget may find a beach day better suited to what they're after.

How to plan your day at Scape Park
The two things most people get wrong: arriving late and missing the guided departures. Grounds open at 9:00 AM. Attractions stop accepting visitors at 4:30 PM. The park closes at 5:00 PM. Those are two different cutoffs, be at each activity before 4:30 PM to participate. Minimum realistic visit: 3 hours. Recommended: 5–6 hours. Full day with add-ons: 7–8 hours.
Arrive at opening. Walk directly to Hoyo Azul (760 m, about 10 minutes). Best light for photos, fewest people.
10:00 AM: Join the guided departure for Cave Expedition or Cliffhangers if you want those they won't wait.
Mid-morning: Saltos Azules, then the Super Ride while you still have the energy for it.
Lunch 12:30–13:30 at the main buffet restaurant.
Early afternoon: Kevin cenote; quieter, cooler, and worth saving for after the rush.
14:00: Monkey encounter at Fauna Land. Don't miss this if you're with kids.If you booked the Buggy add-on, the tour also departs at 2:00 PM — it runs at the same time as the monkey encounter, so pick one.
Afternoon: If you booked the Sunshine Cruise, it departs from the park at 1:30 PM and returns at 4:30 PM — plan your morning attractions around that departure.
Sunshine Cruise guests: complete Hoyo Azul and the guided activities in the morning. The cruise is your afternoon.
Late afternoon: Zipline Eagle Splash or Monkey Jump if there's still time and energy.
Lockers at the entrance run about $5 USD. Photographers are stationed at every attraction, photos are compiled at th Memories desk and emailed the next day.
