Is Scape Park right for you?

This is your day if...

  • You want more than a beach day in Punta Cana
  • You're with family, a partner, or a group of friends
  • You want everything handled — pickup, gear, guide, return
  • You have kids 8+ or teenagers who want real adventure
  • You're a first-timer and want the best of the DR in one day
  • You want a day you'll still be talking about years from now

You might want a different tour if...

  • You have mobility limitations that prevent hiking on uneven terrain
  • You're looking for a relaxing beach day with no physical activity
  • Children in your group are under 1.20 m (4 ft) tall
  • You have heart conditions or serious back problems

Before you go

Tips for a smoother day

Wear water shoes

The only footwear allowed on ziplines. Trails are rocky and wet — open sandals won't work. Water shoes keep you safe and comfortable all day long.

Bring biodegradable sunscreen

Required at Hoyo Azul cenote — no exceptions. Chemical sunscreens are banned to protect the ecosystem. Park staff may ask you to wash off before entering the water.

Pack a quick-dry towel

The park doesn't provide towels. You'll get wet at the cave swim, cenote, and Saltos Azules. A small quick-dry towel makes the whole day much more comfortable.

Carry $20–30 USD cash

Food, drinks, lockers, and souvenir photos are not included. The park has a restaurant and gift shop on site. Card may not always work — cash is safer.

Tell us about any health needs

Allergies, mobility limitations, heart conditions, or back problems — let us know before you book. Some activities have physical requirements. We want your day to go smoothly from the first pickup to the drop-off.

Is hotel pickup included with Scape Park Adventure?
Yes. Round-trip shared transportation is included in the $129 ticket price. Pickup times vary by hotel zone — from 7:20 AM for Bávaro hotels to 9:45 AM for Cap Cana. Simply be ready at your hotel lobby at your designated time. Guests staying in Bayahibe can also book, but only on Tuesdays and Saturdays (additional $15 USD fee payable at the park).
What age is Scape Park Adventure suitable for?
Scape Park ziplines require a minimum height of 1.20 m (4 ft). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 5 enter the park free but cannot participate in ziplines or water hammocks. Guests aged 13 and over pay the adult rate. There is a maximum weight of 280 lbs (127 kg) for ziplines and most attractions.
Is there a weight limit for Scape Park ziplines?
Yes. The maximum weight for zipline activities is 280 lbs (127 kg). There is no published minimum weight requirement. Height restrictions apply: minimum 1.20 m (4 ft) and maximum 2.00 m (6'7"). Guests with heart conditions, back problems, or significant health conditions cannot participate in zipline activities.
Can you swim at Scape Park Adventure?
Yes — there are three swimming areas included in the tour. Hoyo Azul is a natural turquoise freshwater cenote at the base of a 75-meter limestone cliff; life jackets are mandatory for all swimmers and are provided free by the park. Kevin is an underground freshwater cenote — cooler, shallower, no life jacket required. Saltos Azules features natural waterfalls and splash pools. Biodegradable sunscreen is required at Hoyo Azul; regular sunscreen is not permitted near the cenote.
What is Hoyo Azul at Scape Park?
Hoyo Azul (Blue Hole) is a natural freshwater cenote inside Scape Park Cap Cana, located at the base of a 75-meter limestone cliff. The water is crystal clear and turquoise, with a constant temperature of around 20°C (68°F). Reaching it requires a 15-minute nature walk through tropical jungle. It is the most photographed attraction in the park and one of the most iconic natural sites in the Dominican Republic. Biodegradable sunscreen is mandatory.
What animals are at Scape Park Faunaland?
Faunaland at Scape Park is home to scarlet macaws, capuchin monkeys, and squirrel monkeys — species native to the Americas. You will also find rhinoceros iguanas, a species endemic to the Dominican Republic found nowhere else in the world. El Rancho, a separate area within the park, features farm animals including horses, donkeys, goats, and chickens in a traditional Dominican ranch setting. The monkey encounter takes place daily at 2:00 PM; the macaw encounter runs in the morning.
What should I wear and bring to Scape Park Adventure?
Water shoes are essential — trails are natural, rocky, and wet, and loose footwear is not allowed on ziplines. Wear your swimsuit under light, quick-dry clothing from the start of the day. Bring biodegradable sunscreen (required at Hoyo Azul), a small towel, and cash or a card for food, drinks, lockers, and souvenir photos (minimum $20–30 USD recommended).
Can I cancel my Scape Park Adventure booking?
Yes. You receive a 95% refund if you cancel more than 48 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time and no-shows are non-refundable. The tour operates rain or shine. If Scape Park cancels an activity for weather-related safety reasons, no refund is issued but every effort will be made to reschedule.
Is the Sunshine Cruise included in Scape Park Adventure?
The Sunshine Cruise — a catamaran experience with snorkeling at Buccaneers' Reef and a natural sandbar stop — is optional and costs an additional $30 per person, payable at the park on the day of the tour. It is included by default in the Scape Park Sunshine Cruise package ($169). The cruise departs from the park at 1:30 PM and returns at 4:30 PM. If you want the cruise included without extras, that package is your best option. Note: no Scape Park package ever includes food or drinks — budget separately for meals on-site.
